TRIM71 is similar to the C.elegans homolog protein Lin41. TRIM71 is a target of the microRNA let-7 and is likely to play a role in mammalian development. From recent research, TRIM71 has been indicated as a ubiqutin ligase that can interact with Dicer and Argonaut proteins Ago1, Ago2 and Ago4.
