Staphylococcus aureus Exfoliative Toxin A (ETA) has serine protease-like properties and binds to the skin protein profilaggrin. It cleaves substrates after acidic residues. Exfoliative toxins cause impetigous diseases commonly referred as staphylococcal scalded skin syndrome (SSSS). Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degrees C. Reconstitute with sterile 40-50% glycerol, aliquot and store at -20 degrees C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
