SOX2 belongs to the SOX (SRY-like HMG box) family of transcription factors with diverse roles in development. SOX2 functions in specifying the first three lineages present at implantation and in regulating proliferation and differentiation in the developing peripheral nervous system. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunocytochemistry and Immunofluorescence Microscopy. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Immunocytochemistry: 1:10. Tested on BG01V cells. Cells were fixed in PBS, 4% paraformaldehyde, and blocked with PBS, 10% normal donkey serum, 0.1% Triton(R) X-100, and 1% BSA. After blocking, cells were incubated with S5364-11L at a final concentration of 1X (1:10 dilution) in blocking buffer for 3 hours at room temperature in the dark. Between each step, cells were washed with PBS containing BSA. Note: If a staining volume of 250ul is used, this kit can be used for 20 tests; 100 tests can be performed in a staining volume of 50ul. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. NorthernLight (NL) conjugates are sensitive to light.
