Stabilin-interacting chitinase like protein (SI-CLP) is a novel member of the Glyco_18-domain containing protein family. SI-CLP is a secretory protein which is up-regulated in response to interleukin-4 and dexamethasone in alternatively activated macrophages. SI-CLP is also expressed by T- and B-lymphocytes, and by cells of monocytic and epithelial origin. SI-CLP is the ligand for stabilin-1, an intracellular sorting receptor which sorts SI-CLP into late endosomes and secretory lysosomes in activated macrophages. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: Neat-1:5; 10ul labels 10e6 cells in 100ul Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. FITC conjugates are sensitive to light.
