Protein kinase A (PKA) also known as cAMP-dependent protein kinase, is a 40kD protein kinase that phosphorylates serine or threonine residues in target proteins in response to elevated levels of cAMP. It has been suggested that the complex structure of PKA may be necessary for it to accomplish such diverse functions. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 0.5-4ug/ml Immunoprecipitation: 20-30ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months.
