The BioAssay(TM) L-Glutamate Assay Kit is based on a colorimetric method for the determination of L-glutamate with a new heat stable enzyme, L-glutamate oxidase, which exclusively acts on L-glutamate. This assay is recommended in food analysis and research applications as a replacement for other L-glutamate assays such as the enzymatic methods with L-glutamate decarboxylase or L-glutamate dehydrogenase and is easier to use. It requires only one reagent solution to perform the assay of L-glutamate. Since the absorbance at 600nm of the dye is relatively stable, the critical timing necessary for other enzymatic methods is not required. Also, the kit can be used without an incubator and the color development finishes in 20 minutes at RT. Kit Components: G7114A: HEPES buffer, pH 7.1, 1x60ml G7114B: Lyophilized enzyme 1x1vial G7114C: L-glutamate standard 1x1.5ml Range of Detection: 10-500mg/l Storage and Stability: Store all components at 4 degrees C. Stable for 6 months.
