HB9 are sequence-specific DNA-binding proteins that have been implicated in the control of gene expression both in developing as well as in adult tissues; a putative transcription factor involved in pancreas development and function. HB9, was found to be highly expressed in bone marrow cells enriched for CD34-positive cells, present at low levels in unfractionated bone marrow cells, and essentially undetectable in bone marrow cells depleted of CD34 cells. Studies show differentiation of CD34-positive cells along a specific cell lineage likely requires
downregulation of both HB24 and HB9 (1).
Applications:
Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:
Western Blot: 1:200,000-1:500,000
Immunoprecipitation: 1:50
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
