FLICE-inhibitory proteins (FLIP) are widely expressed apoptosis regulator proteins. FLIPs may function as a crucial link between cell survival and cell death pathways in mammalian cells. At least 14 isoforms of FLIP have been defined arising from alternative splicing. The long form FLIP-L contains a domain similar to those found in caspases. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 0.5-1ug/ml Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin and Formalin): 1-2.0ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degrees C. Stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
