Human CD48 is a GPI anchored cell surface gylcoprotein found on all lymphocytes and monocytes. CD48 is a ligand for CD2 and may be involved in enhancing the activating signal to B cells.
Applications:
Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions:
Flow Cytometry: 1:50 (10ug/ml). 80ul labels 5x10e5 cells.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Flow Cytometry Performance:
1. 5x10e5 cultured human Raji cells per tube were washed and incubated 45 minutes on ice with 80ul of C2403-15F at a 1:50 dilution factor (10ug/ml).
2. Cells were washed three times, fixed and analyzed by FACS. 3. Cells stained positive with a mean shift of 2.61 log10 fluorescent units when compared to a Mouse IgG2a/R-PE negative control at a similar concentration.
4. Binding was blocked when cells were pre incubated 10 minutes with 20ul of 0.5mg/ml anti-CD48 antibody (C2403-15C).
Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4 degrees C before opening. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4 degrees C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use. Stable for 12 months at 4 degrees C. Freezing R-Phycoerythrin (PE) conjugates will result in a substantial loss of activity. PE conjugates are sensitive to light.
