Human CD16 is a low affinity receptor for complexed IgG and occurs in two distinct forms, as a glycosyl phosphtidyl inositol (GPI) anchored protein in granulocytes, and as an integral membrane protein on NK cells and macrophages. Functional Application: Antibody blocks binding of complexed IgG to CD16 (2, 5). Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
