CD103 is the integrin alphaE subunit which usually forms a heterodimer with the integrin beta7 subunit. It is expressed on intraepithelial lymphocytes and 1-2% of peripheral blood lymphocytes. CD103 binds E-cadherin on epithelial cells. This interaction may be of importance in the homing and retention of CD103+ lymphocytes in the intestinal epithelium (1-4). PE/Cy5 combination conjugate is used as a third fluorochrome in multicolor flow cytometry applications when only a single 488nm excitation source is available. Antibodies are covalently coupled using heterobifunctional linking reagents, resulting in an optimal conjugation format for flow cytometry. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry, Immunohistochemistry and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Flow Cytometry: 5ul/10e6 cells Immunohistochemistry: Frozen sections Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C before opening. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4 degrees C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use. Freezing R-Phycoerythrin (PE) conjugates will result in a substantial loss of activity.
