A highly reactive thiol-specific spin-label. A specific conformational probe of thiol site structure by virtue of its minimal rotational freedom and distance from the covalent disulfide linkage to the macromolecule under study.
Method for Determining Identity:
Proton NMR (CDCl3+ DPH) Spectroscopic and Mass Spectrometric Analysis.
SiO2; Hexane: Ethyl Acetate; 1:1; Visualized with UV and KMnO4; Rf=0.45
Storage and Stability:
May be stored at RT for short-term only. Long-term storage is recommended at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Light and moisture sensitive.
