Survivin, a new inhibitor of apoptosis (IAP) protein, is expressed in the G2/M phase of the cell cycle in a cycle-regulated manner. At the beginning of mitosis, survivin associates with microtubules of the mitotic spindle in a specific and saturable reaction that is regulated by microtubule dynamics. Disruption of survivin-microtubule interactions results in loss of survivin.
Applications:
Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence and Immunohistochemistry. Not suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:
Immunofluorescence: 1:200 for 2 hours on human prostate cells
Immunohistochemistry (FFPE): 2-4ug/ml for 30 minutes at RT. Requires boiling tissue in 10mM citrate buffer for 10-20 minutes followed by cooling at RT for 10-20 minutes.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Positive Control:
HeLa cells
