SV5 has been isolated from a range of species including human, canine, porcine and simian. There is evidence that it may infect a range of cell lines, including immortalised cells as well as primary monkey kidney cells. Infection of primary monkey kidney cells may lead to confusing results in viral diagnostic procedures that use these cells for viral isolation. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunofluorescence: 1:100-1:1,000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: SP2/0 Ag14 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
