VEGF-C (Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor-C) is a 129aa recombinant protein that lacks the N-terminal and C-terminal extensions and contains only the middle third VEGF homology domain.
Source:
Recombinant corresponding to rat VEGFC expressed in E. coli.
Molecular Weight:
~15kD
Endotoxin Level:
<0.1ng/ug
Biological Activity:
Activity of VEGF-C will be tested by the stimulation of VEGF-R3 phosphorylation in cells transfected with VEGF-R3. The expected ED50 is (same/more than)200ng/ml.
Storage and Stability:
Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degrees C. Stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. Reconstitute with acetic acid. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Reconstituted product is stable for 6 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
