Tim-3 is a Th1-specific cell surface protein that regulates macrophage activation. It enhances the severity of autoimmune encephalomyelitis in mice. Tim-3 is a transmembrane protein that contains an immunoglobulin and a mucin-like domain. The human Tim-3 gene maps to chromosome 5q33.3.

Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:
Western Blot: 0.5-4ug/ml
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
