Survivin is a newly described apoptosis inhibitor that is expressed in many human cancers, but undetectable in terminally differentiated adult tissues. It has been shown that recombinant expression of Survivin conteracts apoptosis of B lymphocyte precursors deprived of interleukin 3 (IL-3), suggesting a potential role of Survivin in cancer therapy. Survivin interacts with the processed form of caspase-3 and inhibits its proteolytic activity. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 0.5-2ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
