Bacteria of the Streptococcus genera produce the exotoxin Streptolysin. Anti-Streptolysin antibody titers in patients are measured as a marker of inflammation. Streptolysin is also an important tool in cell biology due to its hemolytic activity and the ability to permeabilize plasma membranes. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: X63-Ag8.653 myeloma cells with spleen cells from female CF1 x BALB/c mice.
