Sox proteins are related to mammalian sex deternining gene that encodes DNA-binding protein. About 30 SOX family proteins have been identified. Sox-1 is a transcription factor that is found in the embryonic nervous system. Sox-1 maintains nueral cells in an undifferentiated state and has been used as a marker for neural stem cells. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 0.5-4ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
