Protein phosphatase 2C isoform gamma (PP2C gamma; also PPM1G) is a widely expressed, 75kD member of the PP2C family of Ser/Thr protein phosphatases. Human PP2C gamma is 546 amino acids (aa) in length. The apparent mass is much larger than the predicted mass of 59kD because of the presence of an acidic region (aa 259-326) rich in glutamate and aspartate residues, causing the protein to move anomalously on SDS-PAGE. The protein contains numerous sites for phosphorylation by casein kinase II, particularly within the acidic domain.
Applications:
Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:
Western Blot: 0.25ug/ml
IOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:
Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degrees C. Stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. Reconstitute by adding sterile 40-50% glycerol, aliquot and store at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
