NT4 is the most recently identified member of the neurotrophin family. The need to quantify this factor is becoming apparent due to the realization of its contribution to the function of several neuronal populations within the central and peripheral nervous system e.g. preventing embryonic and postnatal motor neuron death. An efficient and sensitive method for quantification of NT4 will enhance the understanding of the physiology of NT4, as well as its involvement in disease by the estimation of NT4 in samples.
Human NT-4 ELISA Kit contains the basic components required for the development of sandwich ELISAs to measure natural and recombinant human Neurotrophin 4 (NT-4) in cell culture supernates. Each kit contains sufficient materials to run ELISAs on approximately fifteen 96-well plates.
Other sample types, such as serum and plasma, need to be validated priot to use in this kit. If assaying samples other than celll culture supernatants, each laboratory should develop and validate its own diluent (PBS supplemented with 10-50% fetal calf serum is recommended to start). The developed diluent must not be used to dilute N6000-08B or N6000-08D.

Storage and Stability:
Store components at 4 degrees C. Stable for at least 6 months. Reconstituted components can be aliquoted and stored at -20C for up to 6 months. Do not freeze N6000-08D For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
