Ubiquitin-like proteins are an expanding family of proteins that includes UCRP, sentrin1/SUMO1, sentrin2, sentrin3, Rub1, and Nedd8. Nedd8 is a small protein (9kD) that shows the highest similarity to the ubiquitin protein (60% amino acid sequence identity). It was identified as one of multiple neural precursor cell-expressed developmentally down-regulated genes in mice.1 Nedd8 mRNA is highly restricted to the heart and skeletal muscle in adult human tissues, and is down regulated in mouse embryos.
Applications:
Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions:
ELISA: 1:100-1:2000
Western Blot: 1:100-1:2000
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
