Inhibits necroptosis, a non-apoptotic cell death pathway. Does not inhibit FAS-induced apoptosis and has no effect on apoptotic morphology. Inhibits RIP1 kinase, the key upstream kinase involved in the activation of necroptosis (EC50 = 180nM) Molecular Weight: ~259.33 Solubility: DMSO (~25mg/ml) or EtOH (~6mg/ml) Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degrees C. Stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. Reconstitute with DMSO or EtOH. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
