Mre11 is an 80kD protein that acts as a Mn+2 dependent double stranded DNA 3'-5' exonuclease and a single stranded DNA endonuclease. It is part of a larger complex with Rad50, p95 (nibrin) and possibly other associated proteins involved in the nuclelytic end-processing of double strand breaks and telomere maintenance.
Applications:
Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:
Immunofluorescence: 1:100
Immunoprecipitation: 1-5ug/ml
Western Blot: 1-5ug/ml
Immunohistochemistry (paraffin): 1:100. Requires antigen retrieval; microwave heating in citrate buffer was used.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Positive Control: T24 cells
Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile 40-50% glycerol, aliquot and store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
