MGMT (O-6-methylguanine-DNA methyltransferase) is a DNA repair protein that response to DNA damage by removing methly or alkyl groups from the O6 position of guanine. MGMT protects normal cells from cytotoxic effects and is important in drug resistance to alkylating agents.
Applications:
Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:
Western Blot: 0.5-4ug/ml
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
