A potent, reversible proteasome inhibitor with Ki of 21nM for 20S proteasome and 35nM for 26S proteasome. The inhibition of proteasome was through specific inhibition of chymotrypsin-like activity of the proteasome. Also shown to induce apoptosis in Rat-1 and PC12 cells via a p3-independent pathway.

Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degrees C. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
