Jagged belongs to the Delta-Serrate-Lag-2 (DSL) family of ligands that activate LIN12/Notch proteins. Ligands for Notch include Jagged1, Jagged2 and Delta. Jagged 1is involved in mammalian cardiovascular development and in cell-fate decisions during hematopoiesis. Mutation in Jagged1 is associated with an autosomal dominant disorder known as Alagille syndrome and Familial Tetralogy of Fallot a form of complex congenital heart disease.
Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
