Interleukin 22 (IL-22), also called IL-10 related T cell-derived inducible factor or IL-TIF, is a secreted cytokine that contributes to the inflammatory response in vivo. IL-22 is expressed in T cells and mast cells in response to IL-9 or lipopolysaccharide. IL-22 monomers bind to a class II cytokine receptor that is a heterodimer of CRF2-9 (IL-22 Ra1) and CRF2-4 (IL-10 Rb). Mouse IL-22 is a 179 amino acid (aa) protein with a 33aa signal peptide, three N-glycosylation sites, and two intramolecular disulfide bonds. The mature protein shows 78% and 90% aa identity with human and rat IL-22, respectively. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Flow Cytometry: Neat; 10ul labels 5x10e5 cells. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C before opening. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4 degrees C. Stable for 12 months at 4 degrees C. Freezing R-Phycoerythrin (PE) conjugates will result in a substantial loss of activity. PE conjugates are sensitive to light.
