CXCL2 is a small cytokine belonging to the CXC chemokine family that is also known as Chemokine (C-X-C motif) ligand 2, and macrophage inflammatory protein 2-alpha (MIP2-alpha). CXCL2 is secreted by activated monocytes, neutrophils and macrophages and expressed at sites of inflammation. CXCL2 is chemotactic for polymorphonuclear leukocytes and hematopoietic stem cells and suppresses hematopoietic progenitor cell proliferation.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
