A potent inhibitor of Smoothened (SMO), a key mediator of Hedgehog (Hh) signaling pathway. Inhibition of SMO renders the transcription factor GLI inactive, thus preventing the expression of genes that mediate the role of Hh on tumor growth. Solubility: DMSO (200mg/ml), EtOH (10mg/ml with warming) Molecular Weight: ~421.3 Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degrees C. Stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. Reconstitute with DMSO. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
