Cystatin B (stefin B, NCPI) is a natural inhibitor of lysosomal cysteine proteases (cathepsins). Its expression seems to be connected to the regulation of proteolysis which is essential for many physiological and pathological processes. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry: 10-20ug/ml Western Blot: 0.5-4ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
