CD62E represents the 100-110kD type I transmembrane glycoprotein E-selectin, also known as endothelial-leukocyte adhesion molecule-1 (ELAM-1). It is expressed on cytokine-stimulated endothelium, weakly on unactivated endothelium, and is absent on leukocytes. Like other selectins, CD62E is an adhesion molecule that contributes to the initial attachment and rolling of leukocytes on endothelial surfaces, a prerequisite for leukocyte extravasation into tissues. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry, ELISA, Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation, Immunohistochemistry, Immunocytochemistry and inhibition of activity. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: 10ul per 10e6 cells Immunohistochemistry: Frozen sections Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
