CD34 is a 110-120kD heavily O-glycosylated type I transmembrane glycoprotein. It is expressed on a small subpopulation (2-4%) of bone marrow cells including hematopoietic stem cells, small vessel endothelial cells and tumors of epithelial origin, and a subset of fibroblasts. It is believed that hematopoietc CD34 plays a role in modulating adhesion and as well as signal tranduction through its phosphorylation by activated protein kinase C. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow cytometry, Immunohistochemistry (frozen sections). Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: 5ul/10e6 cells Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at 4 degrees C. Do not freeze. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Note: We do not recommend adding glycerol as a cryopreservative.
