Human CD18 (beta2 integrin) forms a heterodimer with either alphaL, alphaM, or alphaX integrins (CD11a, b or c). CD11/CD18 heterodimeric molecules are involved with cell/cell and cell/extracellular adhesion in immune and inflammatory responses. Functional Application: Antibody blocks binding of ICAM-1 and ICAM-3 to LFA-1 (2, 5). Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
