Caspase-3 has been extensively studied and implicated to play an important role in apoptosis. Active caspase-3 proteolytically cleaves and activates other caspases, as well as relevant targets in the cells (e.g., PARP). The affinity purified antibody recognizing the active forms of caspase-3 provides a new tool for identifying apoptotic cell populations in both tissue sections and cultured cells. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:50-1:500 Immunohistochemistry: 1:10-1:20 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
