Cell-permeable. A highly specific inhibitor for the 7 Arabidopsis GSK-3 like kinase that activates brassinosteroid (BR) signaling downstream of the BR receptor. Bikinin directly binds the GSK3 BIN2 and acts as an ATP-competitive inhibitor. Furthermore, bikinin inhibits the activity of six other Arabidopsis GSK3s.
