Description: Recombinant Human Artemin is a disulfide-linked homodimer, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 2x113 amino acids. Sequence : The sequence of the first five N-terminal amino acids was determined and was found to be Ala-Gly-Gly-Pro-Gly. Dimers and Aggregates: (same/less than) 1% as determined by silver-stained SDS-PAGE gel analysis. Biological Activity: Artemin is fully biologically active when compared to standard. The activity is calculated by it's ability to promote survival and neurite outgrowth and dorsal root ganglion neurons. Protein Content: Protein quantitation was carried out by two independent methods: 1. UV spectroscopy at 280nm 2. Analysis by RP-HPLC, using a calibrated solution of Artemin as a Reference Standard. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Reconstitute to nominal volume by adding sterile dH2O and store at -20 degrees C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Catalogue number: A3580-52
Size: 5ug
Form: Supplied as a lyophilized powder in 10mM sodium citrate, pH 4.5, 150mM sodium chloride. Reconstitute the lyophilized Human Artemin in sterile ddH2O, 0.1% HSA or BSA to (same/more than)100ug/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Purity: (same/more than) 98% by RP-HPLC, FPLC, or reducing/non-reducing SDS-PAGE Silver Stain. Chromatographically purified. Endotoxin: (same/less than) 0.1ng/ug (IEU/ug)
