The Apolipoprotein AI ELISA kit can be used to measure ApoAI in plasma and serum without prior sample purification. The standard curve spans the range of 0-20ng/ml with a limit of detection of less than 1.25ng/ml.
Principle of the Assay:
This kit is based on a sandwich format. Each well of the microtiter plate has been coated with a monoclonal antibody specific of human ApoAI (capture antibody) and will bind any human ApoAI that is introduced into the well. A biotinylated detection antibody which binds selectively to a different epitope on the ApoAI molecule is then added to the well. After incubation and washing, excess reagents are washed away and avidin cholinesterase reagent is added to each well.
